The Site Engineer (Utility) is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Monitor and review master construction program and preparation of catch-up program, if applicable.
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Technical team
• Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Technical Department.
• Preparation of detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
• Monitor and supervise Engineer / foremen, ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship.
• Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
• Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Management of approval, process and documentation for utilities & services
• Assist in managing the design of utility diversion routes, supporting structures, and other required structures.
• Coordinate with utility agencies or authorities and other relevant stakeholders for relocation of existing utility at work site and utility diversion proposal
• Supervise utility diversion and trail trench works
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.

• Ability to identify potential and occurring problems that affect the schedule of works at site and recommend solutions to relevant team / department.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Diploma in relevant field (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering)
• Experience: Prior 5 years of experience in Singapore underground MRT / Civil projects, and experience in utility diversion work is required.
• Have good interpersonal skills

Technical Competencies

• Technical expertise and knowledge in Foundation, Structural and Civil works
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
• Good knowledge on method statements
