What You Will Actually Do

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and related technologies.
Build scalable and reliable integrations between internal and external systems.
Optimize database performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system stability.
Write clean, maintainable code supported by automated testing and code reviews.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers in Agile delivery teams.

Develop a new API that enables integration with payment ecosystem partners.
Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks affecting transaction processing.
Enhance application security by implementing authentication and authorization controls.
Modernize existing services to support cloud-native deployment patterns.

Required To Have

What Will Help You Succeed

3+ years of experience in backend software development.
Strong proficiency in Java and experience building backend applications using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
Good understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL), SQL, and database optimization.
Experience using Git and working within collaborative software development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and Agile delivery methodologies.

Good to Have

Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and application deployment.
Experience in banking, payments, fintech, or other high-availability enterprise systems.
Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
