Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Construction Manager to oversee site operations for large-scale construction projects in Johor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through to completion
• Coordinate with project stakeholders including consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule
• Monitor construction progress and prepare regular site reports
• Manage subcontractors’ performance, productivity, and compliance with contractual requirements
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on site
• Identify and resolve site issues, risks, and delays in a timely manner
• Work closely with Planning and Project teams to track progress against the master programme
• Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
• Attend site meetings and represent the company in coordination discussions

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
• Proven experience working with main contractors on large-scale projects (e.g. industrial buildings, data centres, commercial developments)
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site management practices
• Familiar with local authority requirements and regulations in Malaysia
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and fast-track project timelines
• Willing to be site-based in Johor
