We are seeking for a hands-on System Security Engineer to join our IT Security team. This role focuses on the end-to-end engineering, deployment, and operational administration of our enterprise security technologies and operating environments, demanding a strong cyber-risk-oriented mindset. Rather than focusing purely on routine administrative workflows, you will actively evaluate operational vulnerabilities, lead project-based risk assessments, and engineer robust technical controls to systematically lower our overall risk posture.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage enterprise security platforms such as next generation firewalls, endpoint protection systems, network access controls, and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
• Maintain the stability and security of system infrastructure through patch management, policy tuning, and system upgrades.
• Manage security infrastructure projects from planning to deployment while ensuring compliance with internal policies and risk requirements.
• Translate security and compliance requirements into secure systems configurations, encryption protocols, and access controls.
• Implement system hardening standards and technical baselines to reduce security vulnerabilities and cyber risks.
• Develop automation scripts and platform integrations to improve data flow, automate health checks, and streamline security system management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in System Security, System Administration, or IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, enterprise networking, and security systems.
• Understanding of NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) and Securities Commission Malaysia’s Guidelines on Technology Risk Management (GTRM).
• Familiar with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with cyber risk awareness.
