PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Sets up and prepare class demonstrations and experiments working from knowledge of the subject area, reference materials, course outline and without specific instructions to guide the students.
• Assists with daily routine functions of Marine Engineering including scheduling the use of the facilities and equipment and memo distribution for reference and preparation of equipment purposes.
• Guide students to assure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and laboratory; distributes parts to students for use in laboratory exercises to assist in their learning.
• Update the record keeping, scheduling, budget administration and facility and dormitory management for easer of reference and tracking.
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts for the equipment; maintains warranty, service, and repair records; works with vendors to obtain pricing and availability of needed parts; performs quality checks on newly delivered equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Orders supplies and equipment to support Marine Engineering classes.
• Provide support and assistance to staff with basic laboratory facility organization, management and maintenance issues related to safety, equipment utilization, wet lab operation, keys, building storage and boat operations as needed to meet class/operational requirements.
• Maintain common supply and equipment storage areas to support the learning and teaching.
• Responsible for picking up/delivering materials and running errands for the lab to support the operational requirement of the classes/department.

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
