Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems, including main switchboards, distribution boards, and control panels.
Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on generator sets, including those with synchronizing panels, electrical distribution panels, and farm infrastructure.
Oversee aerial line and underground cable inspection and upkeep within the farm’s electrical distribution network.
Ensure consistent electrical supply to essential farm systems, including:
Greenhouse ventilation & cooling systems
Fertigation pumps and timers
Lighting, misting, and shading automation
Cold storage units and reefer containers
Liaise with TNB and contractors for load demand management, outages, upgrades, and utility inspections.
Conduct regular electrical equipment inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Coordinate and supervise electrical contractors and technicians in accordance with safety procedures.
Maintain up-to-date logbooks, maintenance records, and technical reports as required by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
Ensure all work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, ST, TNB).
Respond to electrical faults or emergencies and perform timely corrective action.
Participate in audits, electrical safety assessments, and energy efficiency initiatives.
Liaise with TNB, local authorities, and inspection bodies on technical issues and inspections.
Mentor junior technicians and provide training on electrical safety and operational standards.
Coordinate with farm operation teams during infrastructure upgrades or planned shutdowns.
Monitor power usage trends and recommend energy-saving or system improvement measures.
