Maintenance Technician at Hotel De'La Ferns, Cameron Highlands

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Maintenance & Repairs:
  • Perform routine inspections and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize disruption to guests.
  • Electrical & Plumbing Work:
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and lighting issues.
  • Kitchen Equipment Maintenance:
  • Service and repair kitchen equipment such as chillers, freezers, and other refrigeration units to ensure reliable operation.
  • Laundry Equipment Maintenance:
  • Maintain and repair commercial laundry equipment, including industrial washers and dryers.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to keep equipment and facilities in optimal condition.
  • Painting & Carpentry:
  • Handle minor painting, carpentry, and furniture repairs to maintain the hotel's appearance.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and report potential hazards immediately.
  • Grounds & Facilities Support:
  • Assist in maintaining the hotel grounds, pool area, and outdoor facilities.
  • Event & Banquet Support:
  • Assist in setting up equipment and facilities for banquets and special events hosted at the hotel.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with housekeeping, kitchen, and front office teams to ensure seamless operations and quick issue resolution.

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role:

  • Previous Experience or Technical/Trade Background
  • Hands-On Repair Skills (Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry)
  • Experience with Refrigeration Systems (Chillers, Freezers) is an additional advantage
  • Familiarity with Commercial Laundry Equipment (Washers, Dryers) is an additional advantage
