The Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy Manager in daily operations, focusing on patient care, accurate dispensing, regulatory compliance, and business performance support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Counseling
- Deliver excellent customer service and professional advice
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and lifestyle changes
2. Dispensing & Medication Safety
- Accurately dispense medications in compliance with regulations
- Check for drug interactions, allergies, and prescription accuracy
3. Poison Counter Management
- Handle controlled substances safely and in compliance with regulations
- Maintain proper documentation and records
4. Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and expiry dates
- Ensure proper ordering and storage of medications
5. Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to pharmacy laws (e.g., Poison Act 1952)
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal practices
6. Operations Support
- Support efficient daily operations and workflow
- Assist in staff coordination and cost control
7. Advanced Medication Management
- Support prescription review and medication safety
- Assist in patient care programs (e.g., chronic disease management)
8. Public Health Initiatives
- Support health screenings and campaigns
- Assist in community programs and telehealth services
9. Sales & Business Growth
- Support sales initiatives and promotions
- Monitor performance and identify growth opportunities
10. Marketing & Customer Engagement
- Support loyalty programs and promotional activities
- Strengthen customer relationships
11. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Assist in preparing reports and tracking KPIs
