Responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supporting operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers, vendors and service providers.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to avoid stock shortages.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Compare and analyze costs to achieve cost savings and procurement efficiency.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts and supplier databases.
- Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns and supplier performance.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures and relevant regulations.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
- Prepare procurement reports and assist in budget planning.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
