Windows on Arm Validation technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing computer hardware and software maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and reporting. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong background in computer hardware and software.

This position has a 24 months contract term, and will be annually reviewed.

Years of experience needed –

4-5 years

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support WOA Validation Engineering team for testing and validation
• Perform basic computer setup and maintenance, including computer disassembly and assembly, WOA installation and driver installation/upgrade, BIOS flash/upgrade
• Run testing and perform issue troubleshooting and reporting
• Conduct reported issue reproduction and validation, collect and analyse test logs, generic triage & debug
• Complete all test requests on time and communicate revised schedules as necessary
• Utilize software tools such as bug tracking tools, databases, and others as required
• Submit bugs into tracking tools and accurately classify severity levels
• Perform ad-hoc testing on new software and firmware components and assist in developing test plans
• Understand/modify/develop and execute simple scripts using Python or other programming languages
• Provide periodic updates and feedback testing status or improvements proposal to test plans
• Work on multiple projects or tasks and complete them on schedule

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science/engineering degree or equivalent

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Knowledge of PC hardware and software
• Knowledge of Windows OS and driver installation, bios upgrade, testing and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of WOA
• Fluent in Mandarin
