Laboratory Operations Specialist | $3,500 – $4,000 + Benefits

• Salary: $3,500 – $4,000 per month

Role Overview

The incumbent will support laboratory operations including sample management, raw material handling, inventory control, purchasing, and billing activities. The role ensures accurate data recording and compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide management reporting metrics on inventory cycle count accuracy, stock-outs, sample discrepancies, and collection adherence
• Collaborate with testing teams to identify process improvements and support faster turnaround time for test results
• Maintain and monitor lab expenditure forecasts and support margin management for the technical team
• Set up and maintain laboratory inventory management systems using FIFO and just-in-time principles
• Oversee sample management operations and resolve discrepancies with clients
• Support vendor and supplier discussions related to service contracts and procurement
• Ensure accurate and timely billing for laboratory services
• Perform laboratory-related administrative and operational tasks with high accuracy and adherence to quality standards
• Maintain proper documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity requirements
• Prepare and update SOPs in line with regulatory updates and operational changes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including digitisation, sample traceability, and lean process improvements
