Reports To: IT Lead/Manager/Project Manager

Position Summary

The IT Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Information systems department, in the areas of business applications, hardware and software maintenance, network administration, IT infrastructure planning, backup and disaster recovery and helpdesk support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installing, configuring, testing, monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading the IT infrastructure, business applications, and management tools.
2. Managing and monitoring all installed network appliances, systems, and related infrastructure (cloud and on-premises).
3. Maintain network servers and associated hardware, software, services, configurations, and settings.
4. Ensuring the highest levels of network connectivity and infrastructure availability.
5. Create, adjust, and maintain network user settings, roles, and access permissions.
6. Creating technical support documentation for network systems and applications.
7. Provide technical support to users on hardware, software, network, and internet issues.
8. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolving hardware software, and other network (LAN, Wireless, WAN, internet) and system related issue/problem.
9. Monitoring network performance, utilisation, and health status to ensure network stability.
10. Perform periodic preventive maintenance.
11. Identifying IT security vulnerabilities in the organisation’s network.
12. Developing and implementing strategy to secure organisation’s IT infrastructure and networking.
13. Keeping updating with developments related to IT security standards, tools, and threats.
14. Creating system guidelines and manuals for the organisation.
15. Assist in IT audit process.
16. Responsible for organisation data security and personnel security internal control, drive employee awareness training and compliance standards.
17. Participate in other projects/tasks as assigned by IT Lead / Manager.
18. Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, developing and implementing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related fields.
• 1 - 2 year(s) of working experience in IT infrastructure and networking related field.
• Experienced and technically knowledgeable on hardware, software, and network systems.
• Having experience in Microsoft Office 365 platform administration is a must.
• Having experience in collaboration tools, such as SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Experience using Microsoft Power Automation will be an added advantage.
• Having experience in managing and maintaining Windows Domain Controller (AD) servers.
• Experience with managing and maintaining backup and recovery procedure.
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP based services.
• Excellent Problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability to solve problem effectively.
• High standard of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Based in KL and willing to travel within Malaysia.
