We are partnered with an established organisation to look for a Network Automation Engineer.

This role bridges the gap between traditional network operations and modern automation practices. You will be responsible for maintaining high-availability network infrastructure while driving our network automation roadmap to eliminate manual tasks and ensure consistency.

Responsibilities:

Automation & Scripting

• Advanced Ansible Expertise: Exceptional proficiency in Ansible, including writing complex playbooks, developing custom roles, and utilizing Ansible for state enforcement and Source of Truth management.
• Python Scripting: Strong Python programming skills, specifically utilizing network libraries (e.g., Netmiko, NAPALM, Paramiko, requests) to interact with network APIs and CLI interfaces.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git and continuous integration workflows.

Network Infrastructure

• Core Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, and EVPN/VXLAN.
• Vendor Experience: Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise platforms (e.g., Cisco IOS-XE/NX-OS, Arista EOS, Juniper Junos, or major firewall platforms).

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Cloud Knowledge: Practical experience with cloud networking components, specifically within AWS.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCIE Certification: A Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification or equivalent expert-level network engineering experience is highly advantageous.
• DevOps Tools: Experience with Terraform, NetBox (or similar IPAM tools as a Source of Truth), and CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or Jenkins.
