JOB TYPE:

12 Months Renewable contract

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Linux server administration, maintenance, and support activities.
• Plan, schedule, test, and deploy operating system patches and security updates across Linux environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and health to ensure optimal operation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediate identified security risks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Linux server-related incidents, problems, and service requests.
• Manage user accounts, access controls, permissions, and system configurations.
• Support server provisioning, installation, upgrades, and decommissioning activities.
• Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and patch compliance reports.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams to implement system changes.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry best practices.
• Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in Linux System Administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems such as:Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL),CentOS,Oracle Linux,Ubuntu Linux
• Experience in Linux patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Knowledge of package management tools such as:YUM/DNF,RPM,APT,Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Bash, Python preferred).
• Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
• Understanding of server security hardening and compliance requirements.
• Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and system performance tuning.
