Job Summary
Lead commercial project management for shipbuilding, upgrading, repair, and conversion by liaising with stakeholders, estimating costs, negotiating schedules, and driving commercial strategies to maximize revenue and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with shipowners, vendors, and internal departments to clarify project requirements and control costs
- Estimate and project costs for shipbuilding, upgrading, repair, and conversion projects to support budgeting and planning
- Negotiate and coordinate project schedules with all involved parties to ensure timely delivery
- Manage and lead the commercial team by developing skills, conducting training, overseeing performance management, and planning succession
- Resolve contractual and commercial issues promptly and report progress and challenges regularly to management
- Collaborate with operations, commercial, sales, and marketing teams to align commercial requirements with project and sales activities
- Analyze financial, operational, commercial, and customer data to identify billing or commercial issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Develop, review, and optimize commercial strategies to maintain competitive advantage
- Partner with the sales team to target high-value customers and maximize business revenue
- Adapt to changing assignments efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
