Job Summary

The Trucking Controller oversees daily trucking operations to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate delivery of consignments. This role drives operational excellence by coordinating with Prime Mover Drivers and customers, monitoring fleet performance, and ensuring compliance and incentive accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate trucking activities to meet customers’ delivery requirements on time and within cost parameters.
• Provide accurate, real-time updates on job progress using operational systems to enhance transparency and decision making.
• Monitor truck movements and delivery status to optimize fleet utilization and allocate operational resources effectively.
• Collaborate with Prime Mover Drivers and customers to ensure seamless execution of container trucking consignments, including deliveries and collections.
• Verify driver incentive calculations and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Adapt to additional duties assigned by management to support overall operational goals.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in trucking, fleet control, and logistics operations to support effective management of trucking activities.
• Proficiency in operational systems, tracking platforms, and basic reporting tools such as MS Excel to facilitate accurate monitoring and reporting.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage complex logistics scenarios and stakeholder interactions.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in tracking operations and verifying incentive calculations to maintain operational integrity.
