Job Description

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager at Boomarang you are responsible for ensuring that the venue runs smoothly, efficiently, and provides an exceptional experience for our customers. 

You will set up the venue for the day’s activities, manage stock and supplies, and foster an inviting atmosphere where customers and colleagues feel valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Setup & Operations: Lead the setup and readiness of the venue for daily operations, ensuring all equipment, seating areas, and materials are arranged appropriately for customer service.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Greet and interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner, taking and serving orders while addressing any special requests or concerns.

  • Inventory Management: Support with daily checks on stock level ensuring adequate supply of all items (e.g., beverages, ingredients, service items) to meet operational needs and avoid shortages during peak times.

  • Cleanliness & Organisation: Maintain cleanliness and order in the venue, adhering to health and safety regulations. Conduct regular checks to ensure all sections, including workstations and storage, are clean, organised, and ready for use.

  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor and improve workflow processes, helping to identify opportunities for enhanced service speed and quality.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in café, bar, or restaurant management with a proven track record in day-to-day operations.

  • Strong customer service excellence mindset, proactive in taking orders from customers, responding quickly, and with clear communication.

  • Excellent personal hygiene and presentation including in uniform at all times during shift.

  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage management, including inventory control. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good understanding of health and safety standards related to café/bar operations.
