About Our Client
Our client is a leading global agribusiness company specializing in the trading, processing, and distribution of agricultural commodities across international markets. They are currently looking for a Contracts Analyst to manage the issuance and administration of sales and purchase contracts for grain and oilseed transactions. The successful candidate will ensure contractual accuracy, mitigate risk, and maintain compliance with international trade standards and internal policies.
Job Description
- Draft, review, and issue contracts based on traders' confirmations and trade capture data
- Review and negotiate contractual terms with customers, traders, and trade execution teams while maintaining strong, professional relationships
- Manage contract lifecycle activities including amendments, addenda, novations, and special clauses
- Monitor contract status from execution through to final settlement
- Apply and interpret industry-standard trading terms such as GAFTA, FOSFA, PORAM, and others
- Liaise closely with the Legal team on matters including economic sanctions and anti-boycott compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and relevant trade regulations
- Identify contractual risks and discrepancies, escalating issues to traders as appropriate
- Support the Trade Execution team on contract-related matters, including capture and confirmation
- Maintain accurate and well-organized contract records within internal systems
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's in Business, Law or relevant disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural commodity trading or a similar role
- Strong understanding of commodity contract structures and international trade terms
- In-depth knowledge of GAFTA and FOSFA standard forms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
