Key Responsibilities:

• Environmental Compliance: Ensure construction projects adhere to local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations.
• Environmental Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential environmental impacts of construction activities and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Waste Management: Develop and implement strategies to minimize waste, ensure proper disposal, and promote recycling during construction activities.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly monitor environmental performance, document findings, and prepare reports for management, regulatory agencies, or clients.
• Sustainability Practices: Promote eco-friendly practices, such as using sustainable materials and energy-efficient methods in construction.
• Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and identify potential environmental hazards.
• Training: Educate the construction team on environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and health and safety procedures related to environmental issues.
• Permit Management: Apply for and ensure the necessary environmental permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
• Remediation: Manage or oversee any necessary environmental remediation or corrective actions in case of violations or accidents.
• Liaison: Serve as a point of contact between the construction team, local authorities, and environmental agencies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Min 1 year of experience in environmental management, preferably within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with environmental laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Experience with environmental risk assessments and sustainability initiatives.
• Knowledge of environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
• Ability to conduct environmental audits and inspections.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in managing environmental risks or non-compliance.
