Hiring: Senior Test Analyst

Client:

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join a leading banking institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for System Integration Testing (SIT), test planning, test case design, defect management, and ensuring quality delivery of banking applications.

PART 2: JOB PURPOSE It is a form of 2 or 3 sentences that sums up what the job is basically about and should justify the existence of the job. It should clarify three things: a) What the job should do?; b) To whom or what it should be done? and; c) How it supports the business?

Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for testing of new systems in line with the business and technical requirements as Test methodology. The role requires the test analyst to work with the test lead / test manager in the designing and execution of test cases.

They are also responsible for highlighting risks to the test manager and/or business stakeholders through timely and precise execution of manual/automated test scripts under minimal supervision

Project Test Delivery

Identify issues in requirements, design specifications, application architecture and product documentation.

Develop test specifications based on various requirement documents within schedule constraints

Projects delivered on time, within budget, and meeting agreed scope and quality.

Requirements Analysis

Translate business requirements into testing scenario which aligned with Stories and Functional Specification

Converted business requirements into structured test scenarios and executable test cases

System Integration Test

Test Planning - Define SIT scope, objectives, and entry/exit criteria. Prepare a detailed test plan including timelines, resources, and risk mitigation strategies

Test Scenario and cases Design - Translate integration requirements into test scenarios and test cases that validate end-to-end workflows. Ensure coverage of data flow, message exchange, and system dependencies

Test Environment Setup – ensure and validate environment readiness before execution

Test Data Preparation - Create or source test data that reflects real-world business transactions. Ensure data consistency across multiple systems

Test Execution - Execute SIT test cases systematically, focusing on integration points. Validate data flow across systems. Log defects with detailed evidence for faster resolution

Defect Management - Track, prioritize, and manage defects raised during SIT

Collaborate with development and interfacing teams to resolve issues

Retest and confirm fixes before moving forward

SIT Completed and documents fulfilled QM requirements. (i.e: Test Coverage Checklist, RTM, Test Artefact document, JIRA – Test Plan, test cases and Defects, Sign Off)

Reporting and Documentation

Prepare daily/weekly progress reports on SIT execution and defect status

Highlight risks, blockers, and dependencies to stakeholders

Maintains records that satisfy compliance and audit requirements.

Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Sharing

Identify process gaps and recommend improvements. Share lessons learned and best practices with peers and teams.

Enhanced individual and tean knowledge on system functionalities and business operation to furnish any gaps in test scenario

PART 4: EDUCATION QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCES & CERTIFICATIONS State the acceptable requirement for the job in terms of education, professional experience, and certifications for satisfactory performance of the job.

Key-in the required educational background / level required for the Job

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Finance, Banking, MIS, IT or equivalent experience
  • 6-10 years’ experience as a Senior Test Analyst or Test Analyst in large and medium complexity IT Projects
  • Understanding of testing technologies, specifically writing Test Plans, Test specifications and Test Reports
  • Having technical skill in automation scripting’s or coding as developer
  • Experience in Banking industry

  • Create & develop Test Plan, Test Cases and Reporting Test Results.
  • With IT Software Testing Phases and Testing concepts, RCA (Rootcause Analysis Technique & Process), Test Metric & Measurement.
  • Has good knowledge specific to industry like CARDS (i.e: credit card visa/master, debit card, amex, JCB for CFS (Customer Facing System) domain
  • General ability to use a personal computer with familiarity in business applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Use of test management tools, defect tracking systems (i.e: JIRA) and version control systems (i.e: GitHub)
  • Good Understanding of Technology and Banking Industry
  • Having technical skill, know coding, worked as developer or automation scripts tester
  • Basic knowledge for defect management process & analysis techniques
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral (verbal) and written communication skills
