position: Appian Developer

Experience Required: 5–7+ Years

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Appian Developer with strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and deploying Appian BPM applications. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in Appian SAIL, process models, integrations, and enterprise workflow automation within Agile delivery environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Appian BPM applications including SAIL, Process Models, CDTs, Records, and Sites.

• Build responsive, scalable, and user-friendly SAIL interfaces.

• Develop and optimize Appian process workflows, business rules, data models, and integrations.

• Implement integrations using Web APIs, REST/SOAP services, and database connectors.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Solution Architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Conduct code reviews, enforce development best practices, and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

• Analyze business requirements, provide effort estimations, and contribute to sprint planning activities.

• Troubleshoot application issues and support deployment and production activities.

• Ensure compliance with Appian security standards, performance optimization, and design best practices.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Appian BPM development.

• Strong expertise in:

• Appian SAIL
• Process Model Design
• CDTs & Data Stores
• Appian Records
• Appian Sites
• Appian Reports
• Appian Web APIs

• Strong experience with REST/SOAP integrations.

• Strong SQL and RDBMS knowledge.

• Hands-on experience working on Appian version 21.x or above.

• Good understanding of Appian deployment processes, performance tuning, and development best practices.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Appian Level 1 or Level 2 Certification.

• Experience with Appian RPA or Process Mining.

• Knowledge of Java for custom plug-in development.

• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins.

• Cloud platform exposure (AWS / Azure / GCP).

• Experience in Appian administration and environment management.
