Key Responsibilities


Business Leadership & Growth

  • Lead the overall Freight Forwarding business across Southeast Asia and US, driving revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion.
  • Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans.
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and strategic partnerships to strengthen the company's regional presence.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial teams to support key account development and business acquisition initiatives.

Carrier & Supplier Management

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and logistics partners across the region.
  • Lead procurement and carrier management activities to secure competitive rates, capacity commitments, and service reliability.
  • Monitor market trends, capacity developments, and pricing dynamics to ensure effective procurement strategies and cost optimization.

Tender Management & Solution Design

  • Support major customer tenders, RFQs, and strategic projects by developing competitive logistics solutions and pricing strategies.
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to deliver customized freight forwarding solutions for regional and multinational customers.
  • Drive successful execution of project cargo and complex logistics opportunities.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee regional freight forwarding operations, ensuring service quality, compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and continuously improve operational processes, SOPs, and performance standards across all business units.
  • Drive digitalization, process optimization, and productivity improvement initiatives.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Manage regional P&L performance, budgets, and financial targets.
  • Monitor key operational and commercial KPIs, ensuring sustainable business growth and profitability.
  • Implement effective cost-control measures while maintaining service excellence.

Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing commercial and operational teams across Southeast Asia.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Shipping, or Supply Chain Management, including senior leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of managing regional freight forwarding operations and commercial functions within Southeast Asia.
  • Strong understanding of ocean freight, air freight, customs regulations, carrier management, procurement, and tender management processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in P&L management, business development, and organizational leadership.
  • Established network with major carriers, logistics providers, and industry stakeholders is highly desirable.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence and cost optimization.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Mandarin proficiency would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural, and rapidly growing organization.
