Job Title: Production Supervisor (Coating & Paint Shop)
Location: Tuanku Jaafar Industrial Park, Sungai Gadut, 71450 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
Salary Range: RM3,000 – RM4,000
Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor (Coating & Paint Shop) is responsible for overseeing daily paint shop operations, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role involves leading a team, managing schedules, and maintaining high standards in coating processes and finishing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead, train, and supervise paint shop operators, painters, and support staff
• Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity to meet operational targets
• Foster teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement

2. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan and coordinate paint shop activities according to production schedules
• Monitor work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion
• Optimize manpower and workflow efficiency

3. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure paint mixing, application, and finishing meet technical specifications
• Inspect surface preparation, coating thickness, adhesion, and curing results
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, ISO, and QA standards
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues

4. Safety & Environmental Management

• Enforce safety regulations, SOPs, and housekeeping practices
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of paints and chemicals
• Conduct safety briefings, risk assessments, and incident reporting
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental standards

5. Equipment & Maintenance

• Oversee maintenance and calibration of spray booths, compressors, and curing ovens
• Ensure equipment is in optimal working condition to avoid downtime

6. Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor paint usage and consumables
• Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment
• Minimize wastage and improve cost efficiency

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain records of production output, rejects, and rework
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on productivity, quality, and manpower utilization
• Support audits and customer inspections

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in paint shop or coating operations
• Strong knowledge of coating processes, surface finishing, and paint systems
• Good leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with ISO standards and safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience in aluminium or façade manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of powder coating or industrial coating processes
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
