Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to avoid shortages.
- Ensure proper storage of items according to type (e.g. sterile, pharmaceuticals, consumables).
- Label and categorize goods in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Ensure First Expiry First Out (FEFO) and First In First Out (FIFO) practices.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness of the warehouse area.
- Prepare and dispatch requested items to various hospital departments.
- Ensure timely delivery and track internal movement of supplies.
- Coordinate with the procurement team on supply needs and lead times.
- Generate stock reports and submit to relevant departments.
- Assist in documentation for procurement and vendor liaison.
- Use hospital ERP or stock management software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, HIS systems).
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Degree holders in related fields will have added advantage.
- At least 1–3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse and inventory software.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
