Company Description Widuz, founded in 2019, develops a new class of renewable and sustainable construction materials made from high-performance bamboo composites. Its bamboo-based structural lumber is up to three times stronger than timber, more dimensionally stable, and resistant to decay and degradation. Widuz products can replace non-renewable materials like concrete, timber, and steel in structural applications such as beams, columns, and trusses, as well as non-structural uses including decorative paneling, flooring, frames, countertops, and cladding. With the construction industry as its main market, Widuz aims to transform how buildings are designed and built. The company is committed to driving an environmentally friendly, circular bioeconomy through innovative material solutions.


Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Event Assistant role based in Singapore. The Event Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and execution of company events, including trade shows, industry conferences, site visits, product launches, and internal functions. Responsibilities include assisting with event logistics, preparing materials and displays, coordinating vendor and venue arrangements, and managing event registrations and guest lists. The role involves providing on-site support during events, including setup and teardown, attendee check-in, and addressing participant inquiries. The Event Assistant will also help maintain event calendars, track budgets, gather post-event feedback, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure events reflect Widuz’s brand and sustainability mission.


Qualifications

  • Strong event-focused skills, including Event Operations and Logistics Management, with the ability to support multiple tasks from preparation through execution.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with attendees, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated Organization Skills, including attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle logistics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with basic office and event tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, event registration platforms) and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Ability to work on-site during events, including occasional evenings or weekends, and to perform hands-on tasks such as setup and materials handling.
  • Previous experience in events, administration, or coordination is an advantage; interest in sustainability, construction, or materials innovation is a plus.
  • Diploma or degree in Events Management, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
