- Provide leadership and implementation on all project management and construction management related activities, including reporting on matters in relation to the performance of projects against agreed performance metrics.
- Provide strategic decisions to provide leadership and direction to project teams to implement those decisions
- Define and develop project scope and objectives, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and keep stakeholders informed throughout entire project execution
- Manage risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
- Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project
- Provide leadership to project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams
- Develop and lead the evaluation and selection of contractors for construction.
- Define data center system-level architecture, specify/document performance, and equipment requirements, create/communicate conceptual designs, and create / maintain project documentation.
- Oversight of the contractor's safety and quality control program.
- Understand technical construction details to provide creative and innovative solutions to drive key productivities and initiatives through identify, qualify, quantify, and develop opportunities for cost saving
- Continuous improvement on data-center project management methodology as well as optimizing mechanical and electrical systems efficiency
- Perform complex business case and data analysis to justify the project scope and present the justification to management in a high-level review.
Pre-requisitions
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent
- More than 15+ years of project management experience preferred with PMP certification.
- Familiar and established good relationship with large scale power systems provider in SEA is essential
- Good knowledge on electrical engineering best practices in SEA and mechanical engineering systems for datacenter environment
- Familiar with local code and beset practices related to data center design and implementation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation management skills.
- Demonstrable people leader with solid experience managing and developing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Hands on approach, with the demonstrated ability to work in high pressure environments and within multi-national or cultural situations and adverse and contentious conditions.
- Results-oriented with an extremely high work ethic, stringent health, safety and quality standards, and hands-on, can-do attitude.
