About the Job
As a Publicist, you will play a vital role in supporting and executing strategic communication initiatives that elevate the client’s brand image and reputation. Reporting to your respective Manager, you'll work closely with a dynamic team to manage media relations, craft compelling content, and implement impactful PR campaigns. We’re looking for someone with at least 1-2 years of agency experience as a publicist, who thrives on storytelling, building strong connections, and making a meaningful impact through media.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to your teammates, assisting with the agency's day-to-day job and strategic long-term responsibilities.
- Servicing a variety of clients under the agency.
- Act as an agency liaison to maintain and champion relationships with clients, media, and industry partners.
- Work collaboratively with the team to gain understanding of the clients' image, ideals, and goals to meet the needs of the client.
- Provide a consistent, professional client experience. Manage expectations throughout the relationship and provide consistent and timely communication.
- Cultivate and establish new relationships with media, potential client, and industry partners.
- Work collaboratively with project leaders to develop and execute feature stories, product placement, editorial reporting, and internal strategy to achieve clients’ goals.
- Manage press coverage and media relations for clients.
- Engage in continual research on current and relevant areas of lifestyle/general interest, weekly and digital media based on each clients’ business.
- Manage and lead interns, when applicable.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in public relations (agency background preferred)
- Experience working with tech clients is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong writing skills, particularly in drafting press materials.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and reporting processes.
