Role Overview
The Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) is a critical bridge between advanced AI capabilities and real-world industrial deployment. This role works at the intersection of customer needs, domain expertise, and product evolution—ensuring AI solutions deliver measurable outcomes in production environments.
FDEs translate complex manufacturing challenges into deployable AI workflows, enabling scalable, high-impact transformation across factories.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer-Facing Deployment & Execution
- Lead on-site or remote deployment of AI solutions in industrial environments (semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, etc.)
- Translate customer requirements into practical system configurations and AI workflows
- Drive end-to-end implementation: integration, validation, and optimization
2. Problem Solving & Solution Design
- Diagnose complex production and system challenges using data, domain knowledge, and engineering principles
- Rapidly find the solutions or communicate the problem through internal system to product or Development team for the problem fix
- Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with real production constraints
3. Bridge Product & Reality
- Act as the feedback loop between customers and product teams
- Convert deployment insights into product improvements, new features, and reusable modules
- Contribute to building standardized, scalable deployment frameworks
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with AI engineers, product managers, and domain experts
Communicate effectively with customer stakeholders across engineering, operations, and management levels
Required Qualifications
Must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia without the need for a work pass or visa sponsorship.
Technical & Domain Background
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- Strong understanding of industrial systems, manufacturing processes, or equipment data environments
- Experience with system integration, data pipelines, or edge/cloud deployment is a strong advantage

- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, data analytics, or industrial AI applications
- Experience with deploying or operationalizing AI models is a plus
