Introduction
This intern will support the Internal Audit (IA) team in executing data analytics, data sciences, and automation projects and related initiatives to enhance the way audits are conducted and take part in the team’s transformation efforts. They will be responsible for designing and testing data solutions, piloting new and innovative technologies, and playing a key role in modernizing IA at ADA.
Responsibilities
- Perform data extraction and transformation from various sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data)
- Design data models and execute data analytics procedures to identify trends, anomalies, and insights to support audits
- Collaborate with team members to develop reporting and operational dashboards and data applications
The incumbent will be able to gain the following competencies:
- Real-world business application of data analytics/sciences, intelligent automation, machine learning, and GenAI
- Experience in driving process alignment, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Gain knowledge about audit methodology, risk monitoring, understanding of business processes, controls, and systems
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, AI)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and analysis using programming languages such SQL, Python
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate and present work effectively
- Highly professional and discreet, able to maintain confidentiality on projects, especially when dealing with sensitive information
- Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Experience working with various types of large and complex datasets, both structured (e.g. transactions, logs) and unstructured
- Experience with large language models (LLM), GenAI use case development, prompt engineering, natural language processing (NLP) techniques and algorithms, unstructured data analysis and text mining.

- Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn
