Role:

• Working with a system infrastructure team.

• Responsible for the operations, support, maintenance, research and development to ensure continual innovation of the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system.

• Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure for on-premise environment and on Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC).

• Participation in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

• Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.

• Accountable for the following systems:

o Red Hat Linux and Windows.

o Middleware includes WebSphere Application Servers, WebSphere Message Queue.

Requirements:

• Degree with a technical major such as engineering, data communications or computer science.

• Diploma holders with relevant experience and expertise will be considered.

• System Engineer certification in Red Hat Linux and/or Microsoft including Cloud.

• Has minimum 3 years system administration experience.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.

• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team.

• Knowledge and experience in Red Hat Linux scripting.

• The skills for the following will be considered as an advantage:

o AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCC

o Terraform and Ansible

o Gitlab
