Job Overview

Software Developer duties primarily revolve around building software by writing code and modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures and working on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

· Design, develop, test and maintain application systems based on project and business requirements.

· Develop and enhance backend services, APIs, database structures, business logic and front-end modules.

· Write clean, scalable and maintainable source code following development standards and best practices.

· Develop and maintain stored procedures, system integrations and third-party interfaces.

· Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting and issue resolution during development and production stages.

· Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment and post-production activities.

· Participate in technical discussions, solution design and code review sessions.

· Handle system enhancements, bug fixes and change requests (CR).

· Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides and source code references.

· Collaborate with project managers, system analysts, testers and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.

· Monitor system performance and recommend optimization or scalability improvements.

Other Responsibilities and Duties

· Ensure developed solutions comply with security, quality and organizational standards.

Skills and Experience

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field.

Experience

· Experience with database development, SQL queries, stored procedures and API integration.

· Familiarity with SDLC, version control and deployment processes.

· Experience with Java, Angular, web applications or enterprise systems, healthcare systems, middleware integration or cloud deployment is and added advantage.

Skills

· Strong programming knowledge in relevant technologies and frameworks.

· Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and within team environment.
