Job Summary

The Build Engineer is responsible for server provisioning, build, and support activities across Unix/Linux environments. The role requires hands-on experience in system administration, troubleshooting, and managing server environments with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision servers (manual and automated) in Unix/Linux environments
• Perform build and configuration of systems on RHEL, Unix, and Solaris platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues from an OS perspective Support applications hosted on servers and ensure system stability
• Execute server upgrades (in-place and parallel migrations)
• Work independently on incidents and infrastructure issues without detailed documentation

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Unix/Linux system administration
• Hands-on expertise in RHEL, Unix, and Solaris
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting
• Experience in server provisioning and build activities
• Solid troubleshooting skills at OS and server level
• Ability to work independently in complex environments

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with automation tools for provisioning
• Exposure to enterprise infrastructure environments
• Basic understanding of application hosting on Unix systems
• Familiarity with upgrade and migration strategies

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Unix/Linux system administration: 1 year (Preferred)
• RHEL: 1 year (Preferred)
• Shell Scripting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Solaris: 1 year (Preferred)
