Job Summary
The Sourcing Account Manager is responsible for leading client relationships and delivering end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and project management solutions across Print, POSM, Visual Merchandising, Retail Fixtures, and Promotional Merchandise categories.
Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, the role ensures the successful execution of marketing and retail campaigns through effective supplier management, cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and operational excellence. The Sourcing Account Manager partners closely with client stakeholders, internal cross-functional teams, and supplier networks to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while continuously driving process improvements, service excellence, and business growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact and onsite support for assigned client accounts, building strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Understand client objectives, brand requirements, timelines, and budget expectations to deliver effective sourcing solutions.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery, enhance client satisfaction, and drive value added solutions.
- Lead regular business reviews, project updates, and performance discussions with clients.
- Ensure effective communication and expectation management throughout the project lifecycle.
Sourcing & Procurement Management
- Lead sourcing activities across Print, POSM, Visual Merchandising, Retail Fixtures, and Promotional Merchandise categories.
- Provide technical and commercial recommendations on materials, production methods, sustainability initiatives, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a strong supplier network to ensure competitive pricing, quality, innovation, and capacity requirements are met.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and benchmarking exercises to identify efficiencies and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms to maximize value for clients and the business.
Project Management & Campaign Delivery
- Manage end-to-end project execution from brief receipt through sourcing, quotation, production, logistics, and final delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed specifications.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Ensure all campaign deliverables meet quality, compliance, and contractual requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and status updates.
Supplier Performance & Operational Excellence
- Drive supplier accountability through performance management, quality control, and service level monitoring.
- Establish and track supplier KPIs including quality, cost competitiveness, responsiveness, on-time delivery, and innovation.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance overall service delivery.
- Monitor project risks and proactively resolve issues to minimize client impact.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and procurement best practices are consistently followed.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Utilise internal systems and reporting tools to provide accurate project, financial, and operational reporting.
- Track and report on agreed client KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics.
- Analyze account performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support forecasting, budget tracking, and financial management of client accounts.
Commercial Growth & Account Development
- Identify opportunities for account growth, category expansion, and additional sourcing services within existing client portfolios.
- Support account retention and revenue growth through proactive client engagement and strategic account planning.
- Collaborate with Account Directors and leadership teams on business development initiatives and client growth strategies.
- Contribute to the achievement of account profitability and commercial objectives.
Team Collaboration
- Partner closely with Account Directors, Sourcing Managers, Operations, Finance, and Regional Teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support and mentor junior team members where required.
- Share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes and capabilities.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to support multi-market and regional campaigns.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 4–7 years of experience in Account Management, Procurement, Sourcing, Production Management, or Supply Chain roles.
- Experience managing sourcing and production projects within FMCG, Beauty, Luxury, Retail, or Agency environments.
- Strong understanding of Print Production, POSM, Retail Fixtures, Visual Merchandising, and Promotional Merchandise categories.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations.
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Strong project management, attention to detail and organisational skills
