Job Title: Security Architect – Proxy

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect – Proxy to join a leading enterprise environment in Kuala Lumpur. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing secure proxy and network security solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux systems, proxy technologies, and network security architecture, along with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise proxy and network security solutions
• Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot proxy infrastructure, including Squid Proxy and HTTPS environments
• Manage certificate handling and secure communication protocols
• Analyze business and security requirements to recommend scalable network solutions
• Drive automation, optimization, and modernization of network environments
• Support proxy integrations, bootstrapping, and scripting-based automation initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, high-performing infrastructure delivery

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in network security / proxy architecture
• Strong expertise in Linux administration (RHCE preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with Squid Proxy, HTTPS, and certificate management
• Strong understanding of proxy architecture and PAC files
• Experience in troubleshooting complex network/security issues
• Proficiency in scripting: Python, Perl, Shell scripting
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and virtualization technologies
• Exposure to Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
• Familiarity with network automation and enterprise security frameworks
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE, Forcepoint, Websense, Bluecoat (or equivalent)
