Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Sales Engineer role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Technical Sales Engineer will work closely with clients to understand their technical and business requirements, recommend suitable products or solutions, and prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and presentations. Responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, coordinating technical evaluations, and providing front-line technical support before and after sales. The role involves collaborating with internal engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate solution design, pricing, and timely delivery. The Technical Sales Engineer will also manage a pipeline of opportunities, support tenders, track customer feedback, and contribute to market analysis and product improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Fire Protection knowledge will be advantage to the position.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin.
  • Strong Technical Sales and Sales Engineering skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions.
  • Proven Sales experience, including opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and closing deals in industrial, engineering, or related sectors.
  • Technical Support capabilities, including troubleshooting, solution configuration, and coordination with engineering or product teams.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders, preparing proposals, and delivering presentations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in steel, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or infrastructure-related industries is an advantage.
  • Comfort working on-site in Greater Kuala Lumpur, with readiness to visit client locations and project sites as required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused work style.
