As a Collections Associate at Tonik, you won't just be chasing payments—you'll be making a real impact on our customers' financial wellbeing. You'll balance empathy with efficiency, offering smart solutions while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate with delinquent clients to secure payment commitments and educate them on the importance of maintaining good credit standing.
- Provide clients with knowledge about their credit obligations and guide them towards financial health.
- Use skip tracing tools to find clients and resolve issues quickly, always ensuring accuracy.
- Stay on top of client accounts, ensuring timely follow-ups and escalating matters when necessary.
- Keep client information up-to-date in our system, ensuring seamless data flow across teams.
- Adhere to the Central Bank's regulations and Tonik's internal collection policies to ensure best-in-class service.
- Be flexible in tackling new tasks as the landscape evolves—because at Tonik, we're constantly innovating.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Management to fulfil organizational and regulatory requirements.
Qualification
- You've got 2-3 years of proven experience in collections or a related field.
- You're familiar with collection techniques, local regulations, and the digital tools that make it all happen.
- You're comfortable using MS Office and other collection systems. Bonus points for familiarity with new fintech tools.
- You know how to find solutions that benefit both the customer and the company—using your strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- You're comfortable with a fast-paced environment and eager to grow in a startup culture that's all about agility and innovation.
