Cookiy is a San Francisco-headquartered, AI-native research and insights platform — think of us as the Statista and Nielsen of the LLM era, built voice-first. Brands, product teams, and investors use Cookiy to design studies, recruit respondents, run AI-moderated voice interviews, and turn raw conversations into decision-grade insights — in hours, not weeks.

We're a Silicon Valley company, backed by $7.3M in Seed funding from top-tier SV VCs, and already shipping a product that real enterprise customers pay for. We are now standing up our Singapore engineering team — building it from scratch around a new bar: AI-native engineers who ship like a team of ten.

This is a founding engineer seat on that Singapore team. You will be reporting to our President of B2B. Your code will be in front of paying enterprise customers within your first two weeks.

Location: Globally Remote, preferably in Singapore timezone.

What you'll build

You'll work across our four product surfaces — Planning, Recruiting, Interview, and Reporting. Concretely:

• Voice agents. Orchestrate real-time AI interviewers on LiveKit. Wire in noise filtering, multi-language STT, and emotion/expression analysis.

• Insights pipeline. Take a 30-minute interview recording → transcript → themes → quotes → highlight clips. Built on agentic workflows powered by SOTA LLMs.

• Recruiting engine. Respondents ranking, dynamic screening criteria, and human-in-the-loop validation workflows.

• Reporting. Dynamic dashboards where researchers refine AI-generated themes, edit transcripts inline, and clip video evidence.

• Backend services. NestJS + Prisma + PostgreSQL + Redis + NATS, deployed to AWS ECS.

You'll touch the full stack on day one. We are too small for "frontend-only" or "ML-only" roles.

What we mean by "AI Native"

We are not looking for engineers who also use AI tools. We are looking for engineers whose default working mode is Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, who think in prompts and diffs, who design code so AI agents can read and extend it, who can plan, ship, and review a feature end-to-end faster than a traditional 5-person squad.

If you still write boilerplate by hand, this role will frustrate you. If you've already restructured your workflow around agentic coding and pair-debug with Claude as a peer, keep reading.

What you'll bring (Must-have)

• 4+ years shipping production web applications, full-stack, in a modern TypeScript / Node ecosystem (NestJS, Next.js, React, Prisma — or close analogs).

• Demonstrated fluency with at least two of: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or comparable agentic IDEs. We will ask you to show us how you actually use them.

• Solid CS fundamentals: you can reason about Postgres query plans, async event flow, and React render behavior without Googling.

• Real product instinct. You've shipped features end-to-end, talked to users, and killed your own work when the data said so.

• Ownership and agency. You move things forward without needing a ticket assigned to you.

• Professional fluency in English — written and spoken. You will be on Zoom with US and SG customers.

• Willingness to work on-site with the team, full-time. This is not negotiable.

Strong plus

• LLM application experience: prompt engineering, tool/function calling, evals, multi-model orchestration, token cost optimization.

• Real-time voice or video experience — LiveKit, WebRTC, Twilio, Daily, or similar.

• Vector search in production — Pinecone, pgvector, Weaviate, Qdrant.

• Conversational Mandarin (we have customers in Greater China).
