Key Responsibilities – QA Engineer
1. Work Instruction (WI) Development
Develop, review, and maintain Work Instructions (WIs) to ensure alignment with internal process standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
2. Customer Quality Issues & Complaint Resolution
Investigate customer complaints related to quality issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
3. Non-Conformance Management and Corrective Actions
Lead investigations into non-conformance incidents and quality issues, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve complex quality problems and drive continuous improvement.
Prepare reports for management summarizing root cause analyses and corrective action outcomes.
4. Audit Participation, Support & Compliance
Support and participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits to verify compliance with industry standards, company policies, and customer requirements. Participate in audit preparation and reporting, and ensure timely response to findings with effective closure of corrective and follow-up actions within agreed timelines.
5. Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight, Compliance, and Documentation
Oversee document control processes and ensure all QMS documentation—including procedures, policies, and records—is properly maintained, updated, and aligned with current practices. Ensure full compliance with applicable standards (such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and NADCAP) as well as all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Ad-hoc Tasks
Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support departmental objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Alternatively, at least 5 years of experience in a QA role within the surface treatment or plating industry.
2. Certifications and Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and NADCAP standards.
- Familiar in FMEA, FPC Chart, GR&R, CPk, APQP
3. Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of employees and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and willing to travel to their locations when needed.
- Capable of responding to 5Y1H (5 Whys and 1 How) reports and creating quality reports.
4. Industry Experience:
- Proven experience in the surface treatment or plating industry

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
