Job Description: Ecommerce Assistant – Computer Hardware Store

Location: Sim Lim Square, Singapore

About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and customer-focused Ecommerce Assistant to join our computer hardware store at Sim Lim Square. The candidate should have good experience in computer retail, ecommerce order handling, customer service, and basic Microsoft Excel usage.

The ideal candidate must understand ecommerce operations, be able to process online orders accurately, handle customer enquiries professionally, and support daily shop and online sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process online orders from ecommerce platforms and company sales channels.
  • Check customer order details, delivery address, contact number, payment status, and product availability.
  • Pack products properly and safely for courier, delivery, or customer collection.
  • Prepare parcels, shipping labels, invoices, and delivery documents.
  • Coordinate with courier companies, delivery partners, suppliers, and internal team members.
  • Reply to customer messages, chats, emails, and platform enquiries professionally.
  • Handle customer questions about product specifications, pricing, stock availability, warranty, delivery, and order status.
  • Follow up with customers regarding missing details, address confirmation, payment issues, or delivery problems.
  • Update order status, stock records, price lists, and sales records using Microsoft Excel.
  • Assist with ecommerce product listings, product descriptions, images, pricing, and stock updates.
  • Support walk-in customers when required and assist with retail sales duties.
  • Check, arrange, and maintain inventory for ecommerce and shop sales.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, warranty enquiries, and after-sales support according to company policy.
  • Keep the packing area, stock area, and workplace neat and organized.
  • Support daily operations of the computer hardware store.

Requirements

  • Candidate should have studied in Singapore through local education institutions such as:
  • Primary school
  • Secondary school
  • ITE
  • Polytechnic
  • Junior College
  • Local college or other Singapore-based education institution
  • Good experience in computer retail, IT products, or ecommerce operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and accessories will be an advantage, including desktops, laptops, PC parts, monitors, printers, networking products, cables, and accessories.
  • Able to use Microsoft Excel for basic data entry, order tracking, stock tracking, price lists, and sales records.
  • Able to read and check customer orders carefully with attention to detail.
  • Able to pack orders properly and prepare parcels for delivery.
  • Good communication skills and able to speak with customers confidently.
  • Able to handle customers politely, patiently, and professionally.
  • Able to reply to customer queries clearly through chat, email, phone, and ecommerce platforms.
  • Responsible, punctual, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to coordinate well with team members, delivery partners, and customers.
  • Willing to learn about ecommerce, computer hardware, and retail operations.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using ecommerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Qoo10, Shopify, Carousell, or company website systems.
  • Basic knowledge of PC components such as CPU, motherboard, RAM, SSD, graphics card, power supply, casing, and cooling systems.
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge for computers and IT accessories.
  • Experience in order fulfilment, packing, delivery coordination, and customer service.
  • Ability to multitask between online orders, customer replies, stock checking, and shop support.
