Due to ongoing growth and consistent workflow, we are currently seeking a Paralegal to support our Singapore-based Energy, Engineering, Marine & Construction practice. The role presents a fantastic opportunity to join an international firm of industry experts, acting on behalf of a growing and diverse local and international client base, with a particular emphasis on the PRC domestic market.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting legal research related to a broad spectrum of non-contentious practice areas (in particular, M&A, project development, commodity offtake, oil and gas, power and mining sectors)

• Preparing advice based on the legal research conducted;

• Drafting and reviewing legal documents and agreements;

• Organising case files and proof reading of materials; and

• Project management on advisory matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Candidate profile

• Previous paralegal experience, preferably relating to Energy, Engineering, Marine & Construction, M&A, project development, commodity offtake, oil and gas, power and mining sectors

• Educated to Diploma in Law level, or local or foreign equivalent qualification

• Excellent attention to detail and able to manage competing priorities and work with tight timelines

• Proven ability to work as part of a successful team

• Strong research and problem-solving skills

• Proven initiative and ability to work independently

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

• Fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing and oral) due to interaction with clients
