As a member of our family-owned business, you will support Category & Operation Manager to execute the local Category Management strategy by optimising the performance of our product range and placement of our campaign portfolio, to delight and exceed the expectations of our customers in the Hong Kong and Macau region. As a Category Specialist, you will
Support the optimization of the product range by maintaining accurate layout modules and planograms across duty‑free and downtown stores. Assist in analysing product and category performance in the market and share key observations with the Regional Category Management Team and relevant stakeholders.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, supporting collaboration on product opportunities and category initiatives.
Work closely with Retail Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate inventory flow and timely execution of monthly and ad‑hoc promotional activities.
Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to monitor aged inventory, manage SKU discontinuation and expiry clearance, and contribute to improving local forecasting processes based on customer buying behaviour.
Assist in delivering category sales and gross margin targets, support RRP monitoring, and conduct basic price analysis against market benchmarks. Contribute to developing the product range strategy by providing insights on local customer needs and forecasting for existing items, new products, and upcoming promotions.
Conduct regular market and store visits to review store conditions, customer demographics, product displays, and promotional opportunities, while identifying potential new local brands for the category.
What you should bring along
Degree in Business, Marketing or related fields with a practical experience of 3 years in Category Management or Purchasing function within a Retail or FMCG industry.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook and a practical experience in using SAP System.
very good command of English, and ideally, a proficiency in an additional language.
strong analytical skills with flair to forecast trends based on the available current data.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the proven ability to build and sustain relationships.
Pronounced can-do attitude, complemented by the capability to multi-task and the flexibility to handle changing requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
