Our SJ Digital Technology team is looking for a versatile Network and Systems Engineer to oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of the server and network infrastructure of our key client, based in Ang Mo Kio.

This role requires a technical professional who can balance high-level systems administration with robust network connectivity. You will be responsible for ensuring that server environments are scalable, secure, and seamlessly integrated with the broader network architecture to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Infrastructure Management: Design, install, and configure physical and virtual server environments; manage NAS (Network Attached Storage) solutions and ensure data redundancy and availability.

• Network Integration: Deploy and maintain high-performance network hardware, including routers, switches ensuring low-latency connectivity for server clusters.

• Infrastructure Security: Implement and manage server-side security, including but not limited to firewall configurations, and endpoint protection.

• Solution Architecture: Consult with stakeholders to recommend optimal infrastructure upgrades; deliver pre-technical briefings and demonstrations on integrated server-network solutions.

• Deployment & Maintenance: Lead hardware lifecycle tasks, from physical rack mounting and structured cabling to firmware updates and OS patching.

• Escalation & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical point of contact for infrastructure outages, performing root-cause analysis and coordinating with external vendors for hardware replacements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education - Diploma or higher equivalent in Network Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience is a plus.

• Technical Proficiency - Experience with server hardware installation, configuration, network and security systems. Competency in hardware racking, stacking, and professional structured cabling.

• Soft Skills - Strategic Communication: Ability to translate complex technical specs into "pre-tech" speeches for non-technical partners. Resilience: Demonstrated patience and organization when managing infrastructure during high-pressure recovery scenarios.

Work Experience:

• Proven Track Record: 3–5 years of experience across varying organizational scales (SME to Enterprise).

• Adaptability: Proven ability to adapt technical skill sets to different operational environments and client requirements.
