Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Equipment Engineer role based in Georgetown. The Equipment Engineer is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and reliability of semiconductor manufacturing tools and associated support systems. Day-to-day tasks include planning and performing preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring equipment performance metrics, and executing troubleshooting activities to resolve equipment issues quickly. The role involves collaborating with process engineers, technicians, and vendors to implement equipment upgrades, improve tool capability, and reduce downtime. The Equipment Engineer will document maintenance activities, follow strict safety and quality procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement projects, root-cause analyses, and standard work development.
Qualifications
- Strong equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair skills, including planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex equipment issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Foundational knowledge of mechanical engineering principles applied to high-precision manufacturing equipment.
- Experience or familiarity with automation systems, including sensors, actuators, PLCs, and automated handling equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related Engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and specifications, and to maintain clear technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality procedures, and ability to work effectively in cleanroom or controlled environments.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors, including participation in shift or on-call support when required.
