Implement and supervise projects undertaken by the department and ensure that projects are carried out in the most cost-effective manner at the highest quality and on schedule while meeting all approved project specifications and budget objectives.
Work closely with Consultants and Contractors / Sub-Contractors to carry out all co-ordinator duties in accordance with the entire project schedule.
Implement and oversee all Project Engineer duties according to management policies and ensure the compliance of such policies.
Monitor Contractors / Sub-Contractors to ensure the timely implementation, progress and completion of projects and ensure that all development projects are carried out in the most cost-effective manner at the highest quality and in compliance with approved project specifications.
Determines project specifications by studying product designs, customer requirements and performance standards, completing technical studies and cost estimates.
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, co-ordinating activities and resolving problems through managing sub-contractors to ensure work quality and schedule meet contract requirements, project plan and specification and verify their invoices for payment.
Attend site meetings with consultants, contractors and sub-contractors to review project progress, including cost, discuss and resolve any issues, highlighted pertaining to the projects.
Assign and co-ordinate the workload and monitor project resource levels allocated to the project and ensure to report any shortage or excess.
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends, recommending suitable action to ensure timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
Oversee the application for Certificate of Fitness upon completion of projects and attend to infrastructure and building inspection by the local council.
