Provide daily support for Linux-based IT systems and projects in delivering services according to SOP to meet prescribed SLA.
Perform system design, configuration and recommendation.
Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation of IT services.
Performance monitoring, preventive maintenance and patch management of servers to ensure optimum performance. To propose capacity upgrade or replacement when required.
Perform daily rectification of Linux-based IT operational issues and change requests within expected service level agreement.
Provide diagnoses, resolution, and documentation in all aspects of supporting, implementing and managing an enterprise network environment.
Provide installation, configuration, implementation, integration and commissioning of IT solution to internal and external customers.
Proactively source for better IT solutions or services to optimize business operational efficiency and business growth via IT solutions and process changes.
Perform schedule maintenance routine and update records for performance analysis.
Responsible for planning and deployment of new and existing systems for internal and external.
Maintain process documentation and follow approved standard operation procedures (SOP).
Participate in certification requirements for ISMS/ BCMS/ OSPAR, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma or Degree in Computer or other IT related field of study
ITIL v3 or v4 preferred
Experience and knowledge of Cloud Services like Openstack, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc
Experience and knowledge of Virtualization technologies (KVM, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware)
Experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux Operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS or Ubuntu
Experience and knowledge of open source applications/tools and middleware such as HA clustering, HA Proxy, BIND DNS, Webservices (Apache, HTTP/S), SMTP, NTP, SNMP, Monitoring systems (Zabbix / PRTG), Project management, etc
Proven experience in performing Operating System / application hardening and patching
Experience in managing and supporting Linux-based Building Management Systems (BMS) or Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) will be an added advantage
Experience with storage and backup systems (Commvault, Symantec, etc)
Database knowledge such as MySQL, MariaDB, ClickHouse or PostgreSQL
Experience in managing Linux-based security applications such as EDR, SIEM and Authentication systems
Experience in Linux ( shell / Bash ) script to automate administrative tasks
Basic understanding of cloud / enterprise networking and security best practices
Knowledge of networking such as L2/L3 switches, firewall, VLAN, TCP/IP
Possess a strong sense of urgency
Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
