Assistant Manager, Integrated Practice Units/Thematic Enterprises


The Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager supports the development, implementation and performance monitoring of Integrated Practice Units (IPUs) under TGCH’s Unified Care Approach. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional work groups across hospital and community settings, the role aims to strengthen patient safety, clinical quality and care integration across the full hospital-to-community care continuum to deliver patient-centred, appropriate and value-based care.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct horizon scanning, data gathering and analysis, and care pathway mapping to inform IPU care model design, implementation and continuous refinement.
  • Apply patient-centred and value-based care principles, in combination with evidence-based best practices, to guide IPU care model development.
  • Collaborate with NUHS Value Drive Outcomes (VDO) Office to ensure IPU strategies align with NUHS Cluster’s value-based care principles and strategic direction.
  • Support IPU operationalisation by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional work groups to ensure successful implementation of IPU care pathways and care integration across the full hospital-to-community care continuum.
  • Implement performance monitoring frameworks by developing KPIs and conducting analysis in collaboration with the respective IPU teams.
  • Support IPU performance data analysis and prepare reports and presentations for regular management reviews at departmental and institutional levels to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic insights by monitoring emerging healthcare trends in conjunction with developments in NUHS Care Plan and MOH’s National Strategies, transforming them into feasible plans for the IPU care model.
  • Actively engage and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional work groups, both internal and external, to understand their individual needs and communicate expectations for successful IPU implementation.
  • Support the Chairman Medical Board in developing and implementing a hospital-wide clinical governance structure. Key support includes development, implementation and maintenance
  • of hospital-wide policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist and support hospital-wide compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Provide secretariat support for meetings and committees, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up on action items.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, including venue booking, meeting setup and related administrative matters such as agenda compilation.
  • Undertake additional strategic or operational responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving organisational needs.


Requirements

  • Degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, with at least 3 years of prior healthcare sector experience.
  • Prior experience in any of the following will be advantageous: clinical workflows, healthcare planning, governance or operations, research and data analytics, and quality improvement.
  • Prior experience in working with multidisciplinary clinical teams will be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore’s healthcare landscape, integrated care concepts and value-based care principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation, analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and work under tight timelines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and cross-functional environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong command of English.
  • Proactive with a positive learning attitude and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
