Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Editing
Edit and produce high-quality short-form videos for WeTV's social media channels, ensuring compelling storytelling, strong visual appeal, and seamless pacing.
Identify and extract the most engaging, emotionally resonant, or buzz-worthy moments from C-Drama episodes — whether it's a swoon-worthy romantic scene, a plot twist, a meme-able reaction, or a visually stunning sequence.
Adapt content for platform-specific formats and algorithms (e.g., TikTok vertical videos, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, carousel posts), optimizing hook points, captions, music, and pacing to maximize reach and engagement.
Cultural & Content Sensibility
Demonstrate a deep understanding of C-Drama content, including genre conventions (costume dramas, modern romance, xianxia, etc.), popular tropes, fan culture, and what drives audience excitement and sharing behavior.
Stay on top of trending C-Drama titles, artists, fan discussions, and viral moments within the C-entertainment ecosystem, translating these insights into timely, relevant social content.
Collaborate with the marketing and operations team to align video content with broader campaign strategies, content launches, and seasonal promotions.
Performance Optimization
Monitor and analyze the performance of social media content (views, engagement rate, completion rate, shares, etc.), identifying patterns in what works and what doesn't.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to continuously improve content quality, format, and strategy.
Stay current with social media trends, editing techniques, and platform algorithm changes, ensuring WeTV's content remains competitive and innovative.

Deep familiarity with TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram (Reels/Stories), and Facebook. You understand each platform's content style, audience behavior, and what makes videos perform.

Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and the ability to craft narratives that hook viewers in the first 3 seconds and keep them watching till the end.
5. Language Proficiency:
Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken). Able to understand Mandarin dialogue nuances and adapt content for multilingual audiences.
6. Time Management & Agility:
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver high-quality work on tight turnaround times.
Nice-to-Have
Experience working with C-Drama content, Asian entertainment, or OTT/streaming platforms.
Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, or subtitle styling to elevate content quality.
