Job Summary
The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing the procurement activities of the company to ensure the timely purchase of raw materials, components, packaging materials, spare parts, equipment, and services at the required quality, competitive cost, and delivery schedule to support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and generate Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with company procedures.
- Source and obtain quotations from qualified suppliers.
- Evaluate quotations based on price, quality, delivery lead time, and service level.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to support production requirements.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and expedite deliveries when necessary.
Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to support business requirements.
- Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve supply, quality, and delivery issues.
Cost Management
- Identify cost reduction and cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct market research and benchmark pricing trends.
- Recommend alternative suppliers or materials where appropriate.
- Prepare and maintain cost-saving reports and procurement analysis.
