Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform installation, calibration, and commissioning of equipment at customer site.
- Provide on-site (and remote) technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for automated machines.
- Conduct system diagnostics and repairs for mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues for automated machines.
- Deliver technical training and equipment handover sessions to end-users and customer engineering teams.
- Support machine upgrades, modifications, and retrofits to meet customer requirements.
- Respond promptly to customer service requests and support escalations.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing professional, timely, and effective service.
- Monitor equipment performance, analyse data and recommend preventive maintenance plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation of service reports, maintenance logs, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams, provide data on recurring field issues, resolve root cause and drive improvements.
- Development of service documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Manage warranty, maintenance and support contract with customers.
- Perform internal buy-off, Application verification, and prepare report according to customer requirements.
- Provide service and work with customers to complete the in-house buy-off process according to customer requirements.
Job Requirement
- Experience in field service, equipment installation, or machine technical support—preferably in semiconductor, electronics, or automation industries
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems, PLC/software interfaces, and pneumatic components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and service manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally, sometimes on short notice.
- Basic computer system configuration or programming experience.
- Knowledgeable in industry standards and regulations (e.g. IEEE, IEC, SMEMA, HERMES, etc).
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
