What You Own

· Drive technical sales strategy by supporting the regional sales team with deep product expertise and customer-facing technical leadership across Malaysia and neighboring markets

· Architect and implement streamlined processes bridging sales and solutions engineering, ensuring seamless handoffs and consistent customer experience across diverse cultural and industrial contexts

· Lead and coordinate technical demonstrations, presentations, and proposals that showcase Mech-Mind's 3D vision and AI capabilities to customers and prospects in manufacturing, logistics, and electronics sectors

· Provide end-to-end technical expertise throughout the sales cycle --- from initial discovery to contract negotiation --- ensuring customer confidence at every stage

· Diagnose customer requirements and operational pain points, then architect tailored automation solutions that deliver measurable value in high-mix, high-volume production environments typical of Southeast Asian manufacturing

· Own the conceptual sales technology specification for proposals and actively support sales in contract negotiations with technical credibility

· Balancing deep technical accuracy with commercial urgency requires exceptional judgment --- you are both the trusted advisor and the deal enabler in a relationship-driven business culture

· Up to 50% travel across Malaysia and Southeast Asia means constantly adapting to new customer sites, languages, and operational contexts while maintaining consistency and quality

Must-Have

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field

· 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar technical sales role in industrial automation or robotics

· Solid understanding of automation solution types: conveying, ASRS, goods-to-person, sortation, palletizing, depalletizing, piece picking, automated vehicles, and industrial/collaborative robots

· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills --- able to command a room of engineers and executives alike

· Willingness to travel up to 50% across Malaysia and Southeast Asia to customer sites and industry events

· Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is highly desirable for engaging with local manufacturing ecosystems

Nice-to-Have

· Direct experience with 3D vision systems, machine vision, or AI-powered robotics software

· Background in industrial automation integration or working with system integrators in the Asia-Pacific region

· Familiarity with PLC programming, robotic arm programming (ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, UR), or simulation tools

· Experience in electronics manufacturing, logistics, or e-commerce automation environments common in Southeast Asia

· Existing network of relationships within Malaysian manufacturing clusters (Penang electronics, Johor automotive, Selangor logistics)

· Multilingual capabilities (Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, Thai, or Vietnamese) to support broader Southeast Asian account coordination
